While Arsenal are notoriously slow to confirm departures of players - or maybe right and proper, waiting for their contracts to expire - the clubs on the receiving end are more eager.
Atlético Madrid confirmed yesterday that Fran Merida will join them this summer. Before the weekend, Yeovil Town announced that Luke Ayling's loan deal is made permanent from 1 July. Links can be found here, among the other rumours of Arsenal departures.
Ayling is probably the first in a long line of reserve players leaving for lower levels, but I'm a little disappointed in losing Merida. He looked to have the potential for the first team, IMHO. Still: best of luck to both of them.
