After the confirmation of Marouane Chamakh, the Arsenal manager has spoken here. And Arsène Wenger doesn't leave much room for interpretation this time.
Watch the free video, and at the very end he clearly states:
- he's happy with the strikers he has got in the squad, and is now looking to strengthen other areas,
- he'll sign one or two more players in the summer.
Well, I believe him. Expect a replacement for Silvestre, and perhaps one each for Gallas and Fábregas if they leave. But don't expect a goalkeeper! I've outlined my thoughts on the matter earlier.
There's just one X factor in this Silly Season. If there are any real quality players available on the cheap or for free, Wenger might this season err on the OTHER side of caution, and actually make an extra signing rather than losing the opportunity...
