Arsenal are a selling club indeed, if the Sunday Mirror is to be believed. They report that manager Arsène Wenger has cancelled his summer holiday in order to sell Cesc Fàbregas. And Samir Nasri. And Andrei Arshavin.
Looking closely, no other reason is reported for selling Cesc other than that 'there is little point resisting'. Er... thought that was what Arsenal did so well last year?
A Nasri sale for 'a cut-price £10m' will be a result of him not signing a new contract, and Arsenal being unwilling to have another Flamini scenario. Nothing outside the word 'deadlock' is reported from the ongoing contract talks, though. Any progress might, of course, spoil a good 'story'.
As for Arshavin, he may be sold as his performances 'has infuriated many fans'. But when did demands from fans become a reason for Wenger to do anything at all?!
Sorry, but re-hashing old rumours because a better story wasn't available on a Sunday is just lazy journalism.
