Alvarez update

The Argentine midfielder Ricardo Alvarez has now been included in the transfer rumour list. It's not just because Sky Sports decided to publish the rumour on their website, but also because Eugene Kim was kind enough to point my to the local Fox Sports oulet in Argentina and their original tweet on the story.

So thanks for that, not least because also the Young Guns blog have an item on Alvarez negotiations in South America.

And just to clear that up; blogs like Young Guns (which I hold in very high regard) or others won't make my compilation of transfer rumours. The purpose of the list is to expose the low standard of journalism in proper papers, not the (often higher) standards of proud bloggers who hardly ever claim to report 'truth' more than a good rumour...
